Reid Holzworth

CEO – IVANS Insurance Solutions

Reid Holzworth leads IVANS strategic direction. He is a prominent insurance industry leader with extensive insurance experience in both broker and insurer distribution environments. Holzworth was the founder and CEO of TechCanary, an InsurTech leader that Applied Systems acquired in 2019. TechCanary built an innovative set of insurance solutions on the Salesforce platform to create choice and flexibility for agencies who prefer, which has since been incorporated in Applied’s portfolio under the name Applied Epic for Salesforce. Holzworth’s extensive industry experience, innovation-first mindset and commitment to simple, valuable customer experiences will be hallmarks of his leadership of IVANS and the expansion of its compelling innovation strategy.

Alena Kharkavets

Vice President of Digital Strategy and Customer Experience at BrokerLink

Alena started her career as an actuary at Intact, and has since held progressive roles in corporate development, strategy and sales. She is passionate about modernizing and simplifying the insurance experience for customers.

Alena graduated with a dual HBSc. degree in Computer Science and Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society. She completed a Global Professional Master of Laws (GPLLM) from the University of Toronto and Kellogg on Branding program from Northwestern University. Outside of insurance, Alena loves spending time with her husband and daughters, ages two and four, and she is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring the world.

Brooke Hunter

Having built sophisticated risk management and insurance experience working in Vancouver, Hong Kong, Sydney, and running a large Toronto insurance brokerage, Brooke Hunter founded HUNTERS International Insurance in 2005. Active on multiple community boards, Brooke has served on the boards of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada, Toronto Insurance Conference, Canadian Association of Family Enterprise, St Clement’s School, The Canadian Mothercraft Society and two private clubs. Brooke is a supporter of the charity Trails Youth Initiatives on their Board of Governors. Brooke completed the University of Toronto Rotman Director Education Program in June 2016 receiving her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She completed the Wharton/Chubb CAPI designation, Certified Advisor in Personal Insurance, in November 2016. She is President and Director of Huntro Investments, a family office and also serves a Director of Morrison Lamothe Inc., a frozen food company with a private label coffee subsidiary, Club Coffee LLP. Mostly recently, Brooke joined the Board of the Insurance Brokers of Toronto Region.
